getting ready to replace the rear wheel bearings on my ranger and have a quick question. i have the 28 spline 8.8 open differential. i picked up the bearings and seals from o'reilly's the other day and they asked if it was the 8.8 or 7.5 but didnt ask if it was 28 or 31 spline. one of my friends has the same truck that i have and said that the 8.8 28 spline takes the same bearing size as the 7.5 28 spline but the parts place gave me the larger bearing. just curious if this is true. i dont want to have the truck ripped apart then have to run for the right parts.

Oil Seal 8.8 Axle Seal National 8660S
