Goodyear MT/R...worth it?

I can get these 31's off a guy tomorrow but I'm not sure what they're worth??
They have 5000 miles on them and were rotated at 3000

Pros and cons of this?

they look and seem to be in great shape, and the mtr is a great tire overall, i would go for it if the price is right. you cant go wrong with those.. i also hear lots of people getting around 50000-60000 miles on those tires before they show their milage, they wear well..

I'm driving a 1993 Grand Cherokee with the 318 V8...tried buying my Ranger back, the guy who bought it traded it in not long after I sold it because of "a serious drivetrain noise" idk what that means, but he said it was in the shop for 2 weeks and they couldn't repair it.

Thx for the input, the guys over at JF and RPS have been little help.
BTW...new site looks amazing

YES! I too was ALL ABOUT THEM when I had them. Sure they were a little loud, but man oh man was I impressed with the full pressure high-speed pouring down rain driving with them. I felt way more safe with them than I ever did on siped all terrains.... And these have NO SIPING at all! Not to mention how awesome they performed aired down out playing. Very good treadlife too for a DD. I just wish they still made those original MT/R's... I'm not fond yet of these Kevlars they've got out now.

Dude....get 'em. That's a great deal even if they are just 31's.

RPS is not the place to ask about anything off roadish. lol.

Yea, seems like rps is all about lowered trucks any more. You can get Treadwright guard dogs, that's the exact tread pattern as the old style mt/r and even request the casing ya want.
