Input on LT vs P tires

I've got a 1998 4x4 Ranger XLT w/15"x7" wheels that comes stock w/p235 75 15 tires, I'm due to replace them very soon and was wanting to try to size up just a bit.. my main interest was in Falken Rubitrek 30x9.5x15 which I've worked out to be about 1-1.5" taller and only 1/4" wider (I'm certain they will fit) but my wonder/worry is that these and all 30" tires I can find are LT tires instead of P tires, (their rating is 104s load range C) and that these kind seem more designed for heavier loads/trucks and might not be ideal for the Ranger.
Am I gonna be alright with these tires? I often travel off-road and haul firewood in the truck and I just wanted to ask some input cause I'd really like a bit bigger tire as the speedometer is off (reads high) and a little bigger seems like it'd be a help to the off-roading

Should be fine with those tires.

Be sure to recalculate the air pressure for the new tires with them being a different size.

thank you, interesting what it showed with the tire pressure calculator as the current tires are XL(108) and I've always run them at 32-35psi not really considering it, and it's showing the new tires should require 42-45psi to be capable of carrying the same weight.
So it would seem that the stock tires are actually stronger than the new ones? I really don't know what to make of that tire pressure calculator with what it shows there.
And looking further (as I thought what to type) I see on the door-tag (of truck) it mentions requiring SL tires and indicating a front tire pressure of 30lb and rear of 35lb.
(so I guess that the prior owners already upped the weight ratings by going to XL's vs SL's) never knew buying tires would be so confusing.
