jeep wheels and tires

so i can get a set of 97 wrangler rims and tires for free off craigslist. all i gotta know is if they will fit or not.

If anyone could chime in that would be awesome!

97% sure they are the same bolt pattern...not sure on the backspacing...

yea and i could really use them as im killin my snow tires. ipswich is a godo trip for me tho

theres also a set of 255/70/16s for free in sudbury which is closer to me... problem is id hafta get 16 in rims. they are Wild Country Radial XRT's... and they equal 30 inches! thats the perfect size im lookin for

I'd say its about an hour and 15 minutes to get there from where you are.

Pick them up and see what happens?

The wheels I got now used to be on a Jeep wrangler. Itll match up.

buying tires for 16 inch rims can be pricey.. when you get the tires on let see some pictures!

cragars... 54 bux a piece thru summit... thats not pricey at all

The tire that goes on the rim, those are pricey in 16" sizes.

YES........same bolt pattern 5 on 4.5

NO.........they WILL NOT mount on the front hubs (center is too small)
without havin it machined.

I've got Jeep Wrangler Canyon wheels on my 94:

I didn't know what I just told you mountin wise until I had bought the wheels............LUCKILY I have a contact at a machine shop & he bored the hole out for me for $40, as the back side is able to clear, but the hole narrows to the outside........that's how they have those lil' plastic center caps.

Before: I used a dremel to hog out the holes before I took em to the machine shop

I purchased aftermarket center caps from a local wheel/tire shop that fit from behind & had the hole machined out to fit it, as it was the same size as the backside of the original hole so I didn't take any integrity away from the wheel.
