"Did he ever say what series flow it is? Flowmaster makes a pretty wide ranger of mufflers."

I doubt the muffler will say it on it. I'm pretty sure flowmaster doesn't make a cat-back for the F-150 so it probably is custom.

Yeah thats exactly how I was. I liked it on the Ranger but I don't need anything that loud anymore.

Yeah the muffler won't say. Just measure it. The bigger it is the higher the series and the quieter it will be. The flow 40 is what most go with and I think its about a foot long.

the 5.4L is kinda mellow, I mean it will be unless you go full out. I wanted mellow 5.4L sound on the F150, but my Ranger will sound like a rapped 5.4L. :)

dude its pretty simple if you want louder... cut that muffler off and put some pipe in its place and there you have it... thats what i'm rolling with and its loud as $hit... actually too loud in my opinion lol

its not always the muffler. replace the cats with something else if you want it to be louder. that is my vote. it will make the most difference over muffler choice.
