Max size Tire???
Max size Tire???
Hey my name is Matt. I am a new owner of a 99 ford ranger, I am putting a 3 inch body lift on it this week, I have new wheels being made this moment, and I want to know.... after my 3" lift, what is the max size tire I can put on my ranger (it's 2WD). I was told at a tire shop that with a 3" lift I couldn't go bigger than 31 inch tires? That couldn't be true right?
Geez you guys it is a 99 2wd, meaning coil suspension, not that same as a "Sport" "edge" or 4x4.
If the truck was a 4x4 it would fit a 33x12.50 with a 3" body lift nicely.
Since it is a 2wd I would probably aim for a 32x11.50 or so personally.
You could probably stuff 33's under there but they will probably rub if you get off pavement much, and look like they are stuffed in there.

Hey thanks you guys. I'm excited I've got this ranger fever... my project is to do a pre-runner type ranger. I just bought this one for fun and it's all I've done for the last week since I bought it. Thanks again......
