Okay, sold some stuff and I can get two tires. I've made my final, and perhaps predictable decision.

I'm getting 2 Cooper S/T's, 35x12.5x15 installed on the rear Monday. Later in the season, after I get a bit more bread, I'll get two for the front as well. One of the BFG 35's will become my spare.

Total price for two of these, mounted and balanced, is about $350. Pic's and all will follow in another topic when I have them mounted.

Hey, does this qualify as an "I just ordered..." topic now?

sounds like a good idea... and it should be a lot safer in the rain and off road ect.

that was probably your best choice John. Which tire shop do you use?

K & W Tire. Based out of Lancaster, PA, but they have a store in Claymont DE (no taxes) and CitiSteel employees get an extra 10% off EVERYTHING. I pretty much buy all my tires there. The manager's name is Jim Sliban, and he's a good guy.

I think I bought my tires from him off of ebay, I know it was in Lancaster, and am pretty sure it was K & W.

They're actually a pretty big outfit, but they operate stores like a mom-and-pop outfit. Except for the one in Chester, PA (which is not real friendly), I've always found them both cost-effective and to provide good service. Certainly, they have treated the road hazard warranty when I buy tires as a "no questions asked" type of thing. For 10% more on the price of the tire, you get a full road-hazard warranty, rotation and balancing for the life of the tire. I always take them in and get them balanced every few offroading trips because I know I'm tearing off balance weights on a regular basis.

I'm looking at going to Genes tire because they are a client of my dads and they also deal in your favorite cooper tires and I wanna check them out too.
