You could trim that section or just let it rub.

Thats right where mine rubs at too. Its where the parking brake cable comes up into the cab. You can cut that plastic out, it will give you like 1/4 inch of more clearance.

Either that, or its lift time.

Is that the inner plastic fender? What's your wheel/tire/suspension set up?

If it is just the inner fender, it's only rubbing at full turn most likely and the only time you'll bee at full turn in parking lots. I'd say your good to go.

You'll be fine! No harm will come... My tires rub the frame and torsion bars and its not big deal. Its not like you will cut your tire or your truck will explode lol... But seriously its no big deal.

hey guys ok so the thing is that the parking brake cable is right up against that plastic that is being rubbed on, also its not rubbing at full lock its 5/8 to full lock that is rubbing. i tried zip tying part of it back about an inch and its still rubbing. i was given some rubber block spacers for my springs from my friend at checkers today saying that possibly my springs and shocks are sagging to low which is why its rubbing. i will try it tomorrow. how hard is it to relocate your emergency brake cable??

There's your problem.....30x9.50 MAX on a stock coil spring truck. You'd need at least a coil-spacer to clear 31's. Alot of guys just throw on a 3" spindle or 3" bodylift to clear 31's on a truck just like yours with coil springs.

Its what I'm doing now. But I somehow managed to fit 31.8's in there...

so what i did was i drilled a couple of holes in my spash guard and ran zip ties through them and then tied them to a hole in my frame it seems to be clearing at the moment.

sabrina any pics of the truck from furter away cuz i cant picture where its hitting. but id try to move your brake line so its save and let it rub. rubbing is part of the annoyance that you get used to when you try to run bigger tires. most of us prob rub

Its Nick, and I just don't turn left.... They are 265/75 R16's. The overall size is 31.8 and I think they are a smidget narrower than 31x10.5's. Oh and I have aftermarket wheels with some decent backspacing, I think around 3.75 or more.

I'm doing a lift this week. Spindles, UCA's and springs... SOMETHING.
