Well so far I've replaced my brake lines and pads, now the calipers. This could be a how to if anyone cares. Well here they are:

 

ya you should have put that on first with pads and new rotors with your pulling problem i bet eather one of those is froze and if you havent opened the rear brakes yet i bet the wheel cylinders are shot.

those should take you about hmm 40 min to put both on haha thats what am down too now. damn i keep getting the front pass one froze...bastards. and bigger tires i need pads about once a year...DOH

 

so how much will the rear brake stuff cost???

ok I got em off but this little red thing near the brake line connectore is got me confused.

What does this do? and Should I leave it in?

 

HAHA sorry had to laugh its the plug for where you put the bolt for the brake line. look at your old caliper before taking it off and you will notice the one with the rubber end is the bleeder to bleed the brakes. take the red plug out and save it to plug up the old calaper when its taken off. SAVE the copper washers when you take the bolt off the old caliper make sure the old washers arnt stuck to the flat part of the line before reinstalling

 

yea I figured that out when I got out there and I just finished so it was about 2 hours prolly and now I need brake fluid, Hope this solves it...

Yea, those calipers ar tiny, the ones in my stang NOW are huge...

And that red thing is where the banjo bolt for the brake line goes. To feed the brake fluid.

 

yea I just got back from Wall-Mart w/ Brake fluid. so what do I do now?
I know I gotta add alot b/c I lost alot of fluid. is that gold valve the way to cycle it through?

 

the little black nipple is where the bleeder screw is. once u install the new caliper u bleed the fluid through that screw.

MAKE SURE TO SANDWICH THE BRAKE LINE WITH THE 2 COPPER WASHERS. that forms a seal to prevent brake fluid from leaking.

next onto the actual bleeding. there are several ways but ill explain the simplest. have another person with u and make sure u have the right sized LINE WRENCH. do not use a normal open or box end wrench. after topping off the master cylinder have ur partner pump the brakes 2-3 times then have them hold. open the bleeder screw and let it open for approx 2 second. close and have ur partner pump the brakes again. good communication is key here. and dont open or close the screw to soon or u'll have more air in the lines.

keep an eye on the brake fluid level, never letting it get low. good luck...any questions AIM me playa.

*edit* went to advance today and bought brake shoes, hardware kit, tube of white lithium grease and it came to about $55 with core charge. so the drums are cheap to do. it will require some special tools but nothing expensive or extravagant...
