New Tire sizes

well just bought my first ford ranger 4x4 and its needing new tires badly. Now the tire size on the tires currently on the truck are 225/70/R16, can i go with a bigger tire size like a 265/70/R16 without changing the rims.. the tire im looking at buying is a Nitto Terra Grappler but from what im seeing the tire does not com in a 225 option.

Yes, you can use the same rim. You may need to either lift or trim a little to get that side to fit though since it's basically a 31.

You shouldn't need to trim at all. I have 31x10.5s on my 2000 and they have plenty of room.

True, I forgot that 4x4s of that year could clear. A 2wd wouldn't though
