new tire/wheel combo...

As per the thread below, wrangler RT/S SUCK...we had about 1" of snow and the truck was all over the place on those things

wanted some agressive winter/snow/mud tires without spending much cash...got some stuff off craigslist in my area

yeah its a 2wd XLT, but i got plenty of grip now:D

the tires, funny enough are recaps, but the guy i bought them off of has them on his Jeep wrangler that he uses for trail and rock climbs, over a year and they have no damage or seperation, on his, so i took a chance.
Tire guy said they balanced no problem, and said they were the best caps he'd ever seen, wanted to know who did them.

1 set of American Racing Wheels, 15x7 = $100 for the set

6(package deal) 235/75/15 Bridgestone Dueller HTs recapped with a big lug tread = $400

driving home thru the ice/snow and 6+" of water at times at speed on Sunday = priceless!

a little rumbly on the roads, but i put about 100miles on them already, no issues to speak of

KYB shocks to be deliverd this week too:D

Yeah, now my truck needs lift:D

I used to run retreads on my old car in the 80s, never had an issue...I wouldn't want to run them at heavy loads, but I'll be watching them closely.

In the meantime, I'm looking for quality tires to put on my old factory rims...
