Went to a tire shop down by my house to get some opinions, i personally wanted some BFG KM2's but sadly he said unless i want to spend a fortune that's really not a good choice. he also said those tires are basically over-rated and were good back in the 80's or unless i want to do some serious offroading (which i dont) i asked if 33's would fit on my current rims (16x9) he said nah i should go for 31's. so basically what i am consider going with is a nitto all terrain tire 275x75x16 are the dimensions he gave me. What are your opinions, i dont want to spend a ton of money and i was told i was looking at $705 out the door which i thought was a good deal.

 

Get the 285/75R16's. They'll fit fine.

 

alright, i dont want any rubbing of the tires to occur but i dont want them too skinny either. i really wanted to go 33's but that means a lift. anyone have experience with nitto tires?

 

I had the nitto all terrains in 33's and I liked them. Almost as good as the BFG ATs and cheaper. That $705 includes dismount, mount, and balance? If not its a rip off, even if it does its still not a great deal for 31's. That should be about an average price for 33's out the door. My experience with tire shops is that most are willing to dicker with you a bit so maybe try finding the tire you want online for a good price and see if they will match it, couldnt hurt.

 

what idoits! the KM2 is a brand new tire and only been on the market for a short while! sounds like a great shop!

 

Yea I spent $715 for my 33's. That was mount, balance, and alignment.
