Opinions on General Grabber At2

I have these and now have around 14,000 miles on them. I really enjoy these tires. Seem to have great grip, and no road noise. I also enjoy the way they look. Also, they are a great bang for the buck. Let me know how you feel about them.

Actually I was thinking of getting them of BFG AT's cause they have basically the same tred just different brand.

Awesome tire. I just bought mine and i am really impressed with them. Low noise on road and really good grip off road.

I've had mine for 2500-3000 miles now and have no complaints at all. I've gone through some thick stuff and they've pulled right through no problem. These tires have out performed the BFG T/A KO's I had on the truck before in every aspect of driving.

Has anybody who owns them taken them in the desert at all? My dad had General Grabbers and he got two flats (one sidewall gash, other rock puncture on tread) so I'm still very leary of this brand. His Micheline LTX M/S have held up great for the past few years with no flats. I remember they (Generals) also lost chunks of tread. That is the only reason I went with the BFG's is because my buddies run them and they seem to hold up really well. My stock crapyears also recieved a flat the very first time out on the trail. I know some of it could just be bad luck. I'm not easy on my tires and so far Micheline and BFG are my two favorite brands of tires because they're durable.

Well according to 4x4edge his tires are 10ply tires. Mine are 5ply tread and 2ply sidewalls. They are just as durable as my 31x10.5x15 i had on my old ranger. As for desert i don't know. I had the grabber aw's on the front of my truck and they sucked ballz. Weak tire and supposably don't wear worth a hoot either.

i had a set of 31's on my 92 ford f-150 and they were the worst tire i ever owned...i had a set of swampers and they rode better to me than the grabbers and almost wore better

You can't compare swampers and grabber's. I personally want to try the grabbers.

the old General Gabber AT's sucked ***. road like crap, wore ever worse, and had them puncture issues. however the grabber at2's are an awsome tire. I tested them out a lil bit in some mud on easter and they ROCK.... pictures of these tires do zero justice. they look ALOT meaner then the at ko's

ill try to get some decent shots of the tires, if u want

Cheap tires. Enough said.

- bad wear
- chunking
- road noise (wait till you get a few more miles on them)

Just because they have almost the same tread pattern, does not mean you'll get the same performance and quality of the BFG. My friend has had both on his F150 and will never get the Grabbers again.

Never will own a General Tire. There are two tire companies that will never recieve another dime from me, General and Goodyear!

Well each to there own. I like these tires and other people don't. I know the older at's sucked ballz but i have no issues with these so far. I have owned both tires so i have experience with both.

I got a set of Four good year tires in my garage with Bulges and Dry rotting with less than 10K on them! I gave them a third chance and this what I got! I am done with them. I wouldn't even use them as a tire swing!

^^^ Yeah, I said the same thing that Goodyear sucks, but I let the guy at the tire store talk me into the new forteras with kevlar, I thought why not, they look good, have had good reviews, and they should be durable. Well they were a total POS just like every other goodyear tire I have had. It took allot of *****ing and yelling to get them to put my Michelin LTX M/S on (the tire I wanted and went in there to buy but they didn't have in stock) I have had the michelins 10K already and they have had not one problem, the goodyears didn't last half that long.....

I am on my 2nd set of BFG's.......my mom saw how well my 33's wore and bought a set of stock size BFG A/T's for her Explorer....she loves them!

i will not buy any other tire for my truck (well unless i get up above a 35" tire) and even then i will probably buy the BFG Krawlers......

I 2 dislike the General Tire company....they are cheap....like said above, road noise gets horrible....and they do chunk badly!

The last two set of tires that I have had, has been maxxis. The first set was buckshots and now I have the bighorns. I have over 40,000 miles on my bighorns and I think that I can get 50,000 miles easily. I think these are the best bang for your buck with great tire wear. The only problem is I wish they offered them with solid white letters.

go with bfg long trail..... they have 'trail' in the name so they must be trail rated, and as an added bonus made by bfg, so they must be good.......

I highly doubt most of those with 'grabber' expierence have tried the grabberat2, since they just came out? wht? 4 years ago? head over to tire rack, the grabbers out rank the bfgs.
