Painting stock rims?

I have a chance to pick up some 2005 5 spoke rims for fairly cheap... but they have a little oxidization/corrosion around the center caps. Is there a way I could paint these rims black or flat black on the cheap? What kind of prep work would be needed and what kind of paint would be best..? Thanks guys!

Sand off the corrosion, ending with at least 400 grit, feathering it smooth.

Scuff up the old clearcoat with 600 grit or Scrotchbrite pad. Clean well with a degreaser, paint thinner, etc.

Paint with Duplicolor Wheel paint, add clearcoat if desired.

Follow the directions on the paint can for applying coats.

I'd estimate this at a 3.0 hr. job, minimum.

If you clean the inner wheel, the tire installer can use the stick-on weights that aren't visible.

$6 a can, one can of color, one can of clear did all 4 of my 16" wheels....cheap enough?

That doesn't sound bad at all. If you do this post some pics and let us know how it turns out.
