Pick me a set @ Discount Tire
Pick me a set @ Discount Tire
Hi there
Still working on my craigslist find, a set of BFG 31x10.5-15 Mud tires.
I'm running stock right now, and I've decided to use my Discount Tire credit card and buy me a christmas present for my hard work this year :D
I'd like you to pick a tire/wheel combo from their website
Budget: $1000-1300
Usage: Mostly city driving, some gravel roads, no off roading, no mud, eventually I'll go camping or fishing, but I can use the ones I already bough.
Wheel Size: really open, 15-16-17 ... it doesn't matter.
Tire size: open too, I don't think I would like to go over 31 but still open to your suggestion
Truck: 02 Edge 2WD Flareside, Sonic blue, stock suspension, will get a 3" BL or torsion bar adjustment soon
Thanks and don't forget to post links so I can visualize your choices

Just got the bad new I cannot take an extra set of wheels with me, just what's n the truck :( I was hoping to re-finish the ones I got on craigslist, replace one of the tires and have a great set of mud tires, but it's not gonna happen.
May I ask why did you pick those ? Looks, performance?
I'll check again tonight, take care

Their website is quoting those at $1,250 installed before tax. If you wait for a holiday sale you could get about 10% off.

Harry, thanks for the contribution
Wheels are not what I'm looking for, the tires were a good choice.
Leaning towards what was suggested on the firsts posts, but there are not a lot of options for what I can see :(

What ever wheel you get i suggest going for a 15x8. 15 inch rims have the least expensive tires compared to 16" and 17". And I would get a 8 inch rim as you can also fit a 12.5" wide tires on it. IMO 15x8 is the most versatile size.

Wirelessly posted (Blackberry 8530)
I recommended those because it's not as common to see 18's on Rangers that are lifted, and I think they'd look good in that size tire. The size I recommended is approximately 31" x 11" and that's a decent tire that fits the budget you posted.

Ok, so he just wants tire selecton...?
I am happy with my dura's and there are numerous members here that have them. I pursueded a guy at work to buy them and there might be a second and third. I can't report about snow performance but I am waiting patiently.

There amazing, had them last year in the snow, AWESOME! Awesome on the road, just all in all a ****ing awesome tire
You can't go wrong with either the Duratracs or the BFG AT's. I have both, and am impressed with them.
Another good thing about Discount Tire is they will match the lowest price you can find online, plus shipping. So if you find a deal online somewhere that is lower then their price, plus shipping, bring in the proof. They will match it.
And if the holiday deals include 10% off, thats a helluva deal. If you spend 1200 bucks, 120 bucks back is great.

and the timing is great, I have no time to take care of that right now but closer to the holidays work slows down a bit.
I think I'll 15 inches, as a member posted, is going to be cheaper to reaplce tires down the road, specially in South America

Got some time tonight to work on the rims I was supposed to keep as spares, let me know which one do you like better.
The one with the black inserts looks fine from distance but the edges of the black are a little rough on some edges, but not bad for less than 2hrs. I have no patience to let the paint cure all the way through, but if I can make them look half decent I can work on one wheel per day to make sure the paint sets.
No idea what rims are going for, but what would be a ballpark if I list them on craigslist?
