Summit can beat the product prices of tiresavings.com, but not their handling and shipping prices.

Final prices, including mounting, balancing, shipping, taxes.

Local shop - Too much, can't compete w/ online.
Summit - $1,023
Tirepackage - $918.92
Sean@4wheelparts - $896.92

Ok I will ask you one question here. Mounting and balancing before they ship them is fine. What if you get them and then they vibrate? What will you do then? I say just have them shipped to ya and have them mounted a local shop. Thats what we did with Mark's new stuff but we were more in a time crunch.

I would check to see what mounting and balancing would cost if you didnt have them do it. Around here its 10-15 bucks a tire.

that is a good point........i got super slow shipping from 4 wheel parts when i ordered my tires and wheels...they ship them via freight ie semi, and the shipping company told me i had to come by their freight terminal and pick them up because they wouldn't deliver to a residential address........this all after sean told me that they would be delivered to my door.......then 2 of my wheels were extremely scratched....i noted it on the shipping pack list at pickup and then called sean....he said he would issue a return on the wheels i already had, and then when he got them send me out 2 new wheels......i fought with him for almost a week before he would send me 2 new wheels and then i send the bad ones back.....it took another week and a half to get my 2 new wheels.......then it took another 2 weeks for sean to schedual a UPS pickup.....all this time i called him EVERY day and told him to get the stuff out of my house because i didn't want to be charged...he also told me that i would have 3 days after i got the new wheels to get them on a UPS truck....it took 2 weeks for UPS to stop by my house and pick them up....I would spend the extra $22 and get the tires from the other place......i also ordered a body lift that sean said would be at my house in 3 days that took a week and a half.....

i personally will never deal with 4 wheel parts again because of their poor customer service and super slow shipping....i will pay extra to stay away from them....

FYI: Summit is closer to the MT factory than sean is.......

See...this is why I love this place. Things you don't think of and real experiences.

I really want to deal with Summit...I'll do some figuring and see how much it is to just ship and have my local shop mount and balance them.

Thanks guys
