2wd XLT tire size question...

running stock chrome rims, stock suspension height, and after reading the sticky chart, I'm still wondering...

can I stuff a set of BFGoodrich All Terrain TA KO 31x10.5x15s on the stock 15x7s, and if so, will they actually fit under the truck with no issues with drivetrain and rubbing??

just wondered, as I have a chance to get some new ones at a really good price.

if not, bummer:(

thanks for any help!

I had a 2003 XLT Ranger and all I did was take off the mud flaps and I wa sable to run the same tires you mentioned about on the stock rims without any rubbing what so ever. So yes it should work.

my friends dad had a 2wd xlt...he put 30x9.5 and hauled a bunch of stuff (he works construction) with no probs and it looked good...id say go with the 30s....i think the reg cab and fit 31s easier due to lighter than the ext. cab...not sure though

i had 3.73 on my last truck and ran 32s...it was kinda slow...but its a truck so no worries for me...ran fine the whole year i had the 32s with just the 3.73s and i ran it kinda rough...

thanks for thge help guys, I decided that I'll stick with what I got til the tires are worn, out then go with a set of 245s with aggressive tread...it's the "daily driver" so i dont want to have a broken vehicle thru poor accessory choices:D
