?s and Opinions on Wheels/Tires

So I drive a 2001 2wd Ranger. Basically the thing will never leave pavement. Anyways I'm about 6 months - 1 year away from needing new tires. So I'm looking at upgrading my wheels cause I don't really like the look of the stock ones. I'd really prefer something black (with or without a chrome lip) and I think I'm gonna stick with 15s. So I was browsing around different websites and I really like these

Helo Series HE825 Wheel Black Machined

My only problem is that the website doesn't have a good selection of tires. Most of the ones it recommends are off road tires for those wheels. I'd prefer to get some michelins or yokohamas. So in theory if I got tires like these from discount tire they should fit the wheels eh?

Tire Details - Discount Tire

I'm pretty sure they'll do it, but if I bring the wheels up to discount they should be willing to mount the tires on them and all right? I mean they aren't gonna refuse since I didn't get the wheels from them?

Sorry if these sound like dumb questions, I've never bought tires or wheels before. At least not without my dad. He usually picks some out and I just pay the bill.

Yes those wheels and tires will work together fine. You mainly just want to make sure the diameter of the tire and the width will match up. Since both wheel and tire are 15" your good there. Since the tire is 9.5" wide a 15x7 or 15x8 rim will both work fine.

that would work good, you could even go up to a 31 10.50 15 tire if you wanted to with those rims. i know you wont be doing much off roading but the bigger tire will give the illusion of a bigger rim too

Awesome guys. Thanks for the help. I'd really like 17" wheels but theres no way in hell I could afford it. Ive been having a great deal of difficulty finding wheels that I like that are 15s. Most of the nice ones are in larger sizes or have too much of a rugged look for my taste. So I was really excited when I saw these, I'm glad they'll work out.

Thanks for the tip about using bigger tires, I'll have to look into that.
