I have a 2007 Ranger XL Crew Cab 2.3L engine, 2WD, 8.8 4.56 ratio differential, etc... I'm in Mexico but these Rangers were built in Argentina.

Anyway, I've been fixing some stuff, in between I got my hands on a set of 2004 - 2006 (I think) Explorer wheels, but I never remembered to check the offset on the wheels.

If you look at it from a side, I believe the wheels look good, but if you get closer I don't like how they look.

The front hub to hub distance (length) is 1486 mm (58.50") and the rear axle length is 1455 mm (57.28")

I just don't like the way it looks, considering that according to the owner's manual the width of the truck is 1758 mm (69.21")

So my question is what spacers should I use, of course according to your experience.

I was thinking 2" on the back and 1.5" on the front

Should I go the same size on the 4 wheels?

Let me say just get it out there I would get the correct wheels with the right offset and tires that were the right size if I could afford to do so.

Your truck should have had 15x7 wheels and 235/75R15 tires

I am guessing your running the 16x7 wheels and 245/70R16 tires

Provided I guessed the correct tire size you have on your truck, this chart can show you how far off your gearing is now and how it will effect more than just the look of your truck.

If you just want to space the wheels 38mm is the amount you need to go to get to 0 deg offset. yet this does not make up for the difference in wheel width. you have possibly 16x7's when it should be 16x8's which means your track width would still be off using 11/2 inch spacers.

You can have fun with the math and figuring out how much needs to be compensated for since you did not post the and wheel size that you ended up with.

IfI had gone with the original tire size, the RPM's to drive it would've been 3434, with the current tire size (265/70R16) I will be driving between 3320 and 3213 RPM, so that should be more millage.

And the reason for the spacers is so that the wheels don't look tucked way behind in the fender (at least on the back).
