SpiderTrax Wheel Spacers
Dammit----Ty (Ty's4x4) just put these on, and now he has got me thinking about these things again. Let's have some feedback-good and bad. How badly are these gonna mess with my turning radius? Bad news for wheel bearings? Talk me out of them or talk me into them.
Thanks MikeR |
from what ive been reading on here there not horible, but there not the best either, alot of mixed opinions,
haha sorry! either way they will put a bit more stress on your suspension. but as far as i know its no different then putting wider wheels with less backspacing on your truck. and as long as you make sure they're torqued down somewhat frequently you shouldn't have any problems.
i personally love having the wider track as well. believe it or not, it is noticeable. |
tys right. its all a matter of staying on top of things. spidertrax does make some of the more better product for this topic, but others are good too. how ever i personally feel that steel spacers are better for day to day use as they tend to stay tighter longer
ive yet to see steel spacers
but yeah spidertrax and ballistic are amongst the better brands out there |
ya your truck looks awesome, what size are the studs on them, are they the same as normal, i wanna get some but i want to make sure that my stock lugs will fit on them so i dont mess up my alcoas
yeah they're the same. the one thing you'll have to do is trim down your stock wheel studs. just enough so they clear the the face of the spacer. i did mine just right so there's more then enough threads left for the nuts on there and there will be enough for my stock lug nuts to thread back on
how thick are the spacers that you put on?
1.25" is all they list in our bolt pattern
oh haha duh, im an idiot
yeah they're 1.25".
I just ordered them. They should be here next week. I'll keep everyone posted.

I went on the website do they not sell any for rangers specifically? If so which one would I need to get? I noticed it was just Toyo, Suzuki, and Jeep!

The solution for rubbing is a dremel. I'm sure if it rubs its only on the inside corners of the valance. Just take a dremel and cut the corners off and then smooth it out with a sanding drum attachment
