Yesterday I was reading about some stock snap over caps painted black. How do they hold up? How would they look on this truck? And does anyone want to dump theirs off? (I had Edge 16's).

My truck:

Great looking truck. I never liked the chrome center caps either. Just some black center caps like you said would look awesome on your truck

They hold up great! I cleaned 'em up, masked the oval, sprayed on Duplicolor Adhesion Promotor, then on went the Rust Oleum Glass Black Enamel. Right after installing them to the truck, I slipped off the tire getting in the back of the truck, accidently kicked a cap with my steel toe. Cap is still immaculate!

Yes.....They'll work on ANY rim...only as long as you use at least 3 stock lug nuts.

I use all 5 stockers...but you have the option of running a locking lug nut too...or other aftermarket lugnuts....Just saying...you need a minimum of 3 stock lugs to run those caps.

I ended up with the chrome caps anyway...and I have to say they don't look that bad. I have an edge, and couldn't bring myself to paying $60 for a set of stocker caps on ebay. $15 sounds much better to me.

They will not fit on all aftermarket rims. Some aluminum rims, like the M/T rims, the lug nuts are too far recessed in for them to work
