Super Swamper LTB's
ok so im looking at some new tires that are alittle more aggressive, i was considering 35's but i noticed that these come in a 34x10.5 which caught my eye, im not big on the wide tire thing so the whole 10.5 wont bother me, i was just curious about this tire, how is it?? anything good or bad would be much appreciated
yes 100% off road only. and btw you might not be into the wide tire thing but it really looks BAD i mean talk about major pizza cutter it looks fine from the sides but from front and back wow its bad, neighbor has then on his CJ it looks so goofy

LTB's are not a street tire by any means. Yes, they are DOT for on road use, but you'll be disappointed with the life, noise, gas mileage and ride of them on the street.
I'll tell you one thing...
I had them & they performed REALLY well off-road.
On road is a different story & flat spots, yes... They def. get them, esp in the winter time it seemed like.
Now, you can run them on a 15x10 wheel & it'll widen them a good bit.

Some guy at Lowes told me his claws got louder than his big V8 chebby exhaust did when they wore down, so he got the BFG mts
Also, if you're interested in rock crawling or the likes (guess that's why you're looking at the LTBs) try to find a set of Moab Edition BFG M/Ts... super soft compund that wears just like the regular ones. Made special for Moab.

ya i saw those, they are a great looking tire, still trying to find out some more about them, wear and such, they seem relatively cheap compared to others but i still need to make some calls to see about pricing
They're made by Cooper Tire, which has always made them for M/T, but now actually owns M/T. From what I've heard, they are on the same "core" as the Discoverer series truck tires (which is a very reliable core -- I've used Cooper Discoverer S/T's for years). The outer sidewall and tread treatments are unique to the M/T line which is what distinguishes it from the other Cooper offerings.
Being built on a heavily mass-produced core means that they have an "economy of scale" which holds the price down. I'm thinking about the MTZ's for my next set of 35's for my truck.

mtzs are far from cheap. they do however have one hell of a hard sidewall. another tire that is sometimes a pain in the ace to mount. and they also dont really come in anything less wider than a 13.50, but i think 15.50 is the promonant size.
edit, just found them in the conventional sizes most people go for. not so expensive there.

I'm loving the TrXuS M/Ts. I'm on my second set with 34x12.50s and they are wearing perfectly. They are very nice and quiet on road and awesome offroad. Plus for the price ya can't beat them. Definately recommended.
