Wheels & Tires Semi-Tech General discussion of wheels and tires for the Ford Ranger.

Is there any thing I can apply to a stock rim to make it have that shiny chrome look?

I wrecked my truck about five months ago when I hydro planed on a highway that was wet and had diesel spilled on it. I ended up scraping the railing on a bridge before I finally came to a stop, I damaged one of my factory chrome rims so I put an old factory rim on my 2008 Ranger that I saved from my 2010 Ranger. Can I apply something on this rime to get it to look like the other three chrome rims that are on my truck?

Yes

You can get a buffer and buff the rim it should clean it a little and then go to any auto part store and they have things you put on (kinda like a wax) that makes it crome

Yeah theres chrome spray paint duplicator makes it i believe you can get standard chrome or it comes with a darkener to give it the blackout chrome look. For standard chrome just do everything but add the darkener.
