Think they'll fit? (33's on an xlt)

I'm getting a 3" spindle lift for my 01 XLT 4x2 and just got a killer deal on some 33x12.5 bfg m/t's, a deal too good to pass up. I've done lots of searching and PMing and still can't find anyone that has 33x12.5's on an 01+ XLT with just spindles. I know it'll be fine with a body lift, but I'd rather just stuff them as is if possible. If someone has any idea if they'll fit, please tell me so I can buy some rims.. cuz I don't wanna run a 12.5 tire on a 7" rim and the lift isn't going on till next weekend!

I have a buddy with 33's if all else fails, but I'd like to order the rims now and be done with it since I can't test clearances till next weekend. thanks y'all!

yes should be fine just dont get any rim with a smaller BS then 3.75" on a 15x8

edit acully come to think of it. Ben had a 3" body lift on his xlt and had 33's you will have 3.5" in the front and run like a AAL and a like 2" block or something and you will be fine

its going to rub some, either fender flares or a coil spacer will help against that, but its nothing major for regular driving

Andy, are they on rims? Sucks you can't make it sunday, but we can get the gears done in the next couple weeks I'm sure. Lemme know if ya need a hand with finishin off your lift too..

I think I'm gonna end up just going for the 33s since I have them anyway. I don't care if I ruin em from rubbing stuff, they're offroad tires. I'll still have the 30s on stock rims for drivin around town.. I just need to make sure they won't rub TOO bad. I guess we'll find out sunday!

Jeff - Get Scott to call Steven, or call Travis. I know Steven could do it for free at Discount Tire. I'm not sure what Travis has at the new garage, so he might be able to do it for free as well.

Not so. Ben has a 4x4 which is lifted TO BEGIN WITH compared to a 4x2 XLT. A 3" body lift on his truck is equivalent to 5.5" of front lift on a 4x2 XLT.

And Ben's do rub in the front.

I saw when he had the 32's on stock suspension, I didn't even beleive it looking at the pictures. They were stuffed. I want my 33's to be stuffed but not to the point where it bashes in the fender or bedsides when I take it offroad. The valence is gonna be gone, so I'm pretty sure it'll work.. but I won't know for sure till sunday. I'm gonna leave the 30's on for daily driving so I can pretend I get good gas milage..

I've got no problems with it. I've seen plenty of pix of 31s and spindles and it looks fine. My 33's are from a trail beater, so I doubt they'll be any fun on the highway or jettin around town. Then when the 30s wear out i'll get some 31s or 32s for daily tires.. unless the 33s don't rub as much as I think they will..
