I have a 01 ranger edge its blue the sporty blue I dont know the exact name. so Im thinking Im going with a BL even know Im not in love with the idea I want to fit bigger tires and dont want to spend tons of money on a suspension lift for a 2wd. I am trying to decide what rims to go with and if I should get m/ts or a/ts. Im thinking of going with the cheap black steelies like everyone else does of course but I was seeing if anyone else has a ranger like that done with the blue paint and black rims to see how they compliment eachother

A/T vs M/T. Depends on what you what your truck to do/what you do with the truck.
On your 2wd Edge, you can fit up to 32x11.50R15 or 33x10.50R15 by cranking the torsion bars up some. Many run and have ran that setup just fine w/o any rubbing, including myself. You're 2wd is exactly like the 4x4's suspension wise and ride height...you have torsion bars Search to find the how-to.
Lots of your questions can be answered by just browsing peoples rides....seeing what they've done...seeing what you like. Alot of the others can be answered via the "sticky" threads at the top of each section of the site.
Here's some pics and links to member's profiles. I may have to keep it to shades of blue because your Bright Island Blue color is kind of a rare color. Some are posted for wheels/tires. Others are posted for color combos. Why I'm showing them will be noted.
