I would think about 10.5 maybe but I am not sure I think I have heard of people putting that wide on them

dont go any wider than 10.5 on a stock rim... if you do you will get uneven wear on the tire and reduced tire life

In metric sizes a 10.5 is a 265 tire. 31x10.5x15 is roughly equal to a 265/75R15.

rule of thumb I heard was no wider then 3.5 inches wider then the wheel and no narrower then 1.5 inches wider then the wheel. I would guess your wheel is 7 inches so any tire 8.5 inches wide to 10.5 inches wide will fit however (as said above) I know there are a few people like John Griggs that are going alittle wider he has 8 inch wheels with 12.5 tires on them which is 4.5 inches wider then the wheel and has not had any problems that I am aware of, but this is not recomended by most tire manufacturers.

a FEW dude everone in there mother runs a 15x8 with 12.5 wide tires. and if it was unsave why would ford put 31x10.5 on a 15x7 chew on that a little.

true maybe my rule of thumb is 4.5 inches I could be wrong. Never said it was unsafe.
