Thanks,
I rarely show anything but small areas of it... the paint looks awful. I'm hoping to get it painted this year, the wheels make the rest of the truck look even worse now.

I got really lucky with these wheels, a couple years ago my uncle bought a wrecked explorer for parts & he kept these wheels to use on some of his project vehicles around the shop. I've been after him ever since then to let me buy them from him & I caught him when he had them off & we traded my old ranger wheels for these.
It took over a week of sanding & buffing to get them to look like that, but it was well worth the work.
I even painted the teardrops gloss black for a little different look.

After I scotchbrighted the teardrops & wiped them down with acetone, I sprayed 3-4 coats of self etching primer followed by 4-5 coats of rustoleum engine enamel.
I wanted to try the wheel paint I've seen, but everyone around here was out of it in gloss black.

I bet you wont have to paint it, proabbly a good detail and buffing will make it look like new....it did on this black truck, and its paint looked BAD:

Scott is right. I woud bet most of your paint issues could be buffed out.

That dodge came out looking nice.

Unfortunately my driver bed side has paint peeling off & on top of the doors the clear is flaking, the hood has a bunch of cracks & chips that are through the primer in spots.

I've tried buffing some spots out before but it didn't do much good. I'm gonna have to bite the bullet and sand it all down & start from scratch.

If I'm lucky this next paint job will last another 15 years or so.

Looks good. My mustang was pretty bad when I did it too although not nearly as bad as that ram..

Oh, and this is another reason I don't wanna get a full-size truck because it would take even longer to polish than my ranger
