michlein has worked with honda to create a pretty innovative tire wheel combo for the 05 hondas.

its a wheel with a big plastic ring in the middle so that when the tire goes flat the tire rests on the platic ring for longer travel on flats. they are a ***** to change and you either have to go back to the dealershiop for new tires or you can go to some discount tire stores. i say some discount tires cause only a select few have the machines. my store in fort collins is one out of two stores in the state who have the machine.

pretty crazy stuff

they're pretty interesting.. i wonder how they'd do in real life tho.. running thru cones on a closed track only shows so much.. i wonder how they'd hold up in snow and things like that.

given the apce inside I'm sure it could get filled up with snow and possibly get the wheel outta balance, proly not anymore than a reg tire/wheel though.

I doubt this is gonna go anywhere, seriously. Is t really that hard to change a flat? or plug one for that matter? LOL so much for airing down the tires for the track...

its a neat idea but you would think that over time those center supports would give out.
