Weight Difference

What would be the weight difference between the stock 14" wheels on a 97 ranger and a set of these 15x8.
How big of a difference would it be to drive

Those weigh about 25lbs each vs yours which maybe weigh 15-18lbs.. not much of a difference, but if your truck is a 4 banger than you might notice a little mpg lose.. take more to move more but not much more..

ya its a four cylinder :[ But i figure a cold air intake, exhaust etc. should make up for any difference with bigger tires etc.

I had those 15x8 soft 8 steelies.. weighed 28lbs each rim..

now I have alloy 15x8 weld/cragar stars.. weigh 12lbs each..

I have a list of wheel weights in my profile.. mostly mustang rims..

heavy rims + heavy tires = bad mpg and a slower 4 banger.. intake and exhaust might add 5hp if any.. and 31" tires weigh about 44lbs each vs about 30lbs for normal size.. so 10lbs x 4 rims + 14lbs x 4 tires = about 96lbs x 2 for rotational mass = 192.. so it is like always having an extra buddy with you..

Intake alone should be more than 5 hp right?

iPretty bad by my standards. Lost more mpg then anything, went from 25 to 19 highway, city i dont really know cuz i dont drive in the city. If your low on money its bearable but after havin them 6 months im ready for alloys. Mine weigh 22lbs each. My stock 14s with tires i know didnt weigh much over that.

If i was running smaller tires i dont think it would be real bad, but if your steppin up in tires size to anything over 30s, get alloy.
