what do your 33s measure?

what do your 33s measure?

what do your 33" tires measure from the ground to the top of the tire? my 32's are pretty bald, and they are 30". i'm looking at a set of BFG AT's 33x12.50r15 decent tread left, but they measure about 31.5" mounted and on the truck. just wondering what everyone elses measure

FWIW...Tire companys round up......35's are generally 34.8" tall brand new. tread wears down, and you're gonna be measureing almost 33".

i knew they rounded up...kinda sucks that when you get a 33 mounted it only works out to maybe 32" ....thats false advertising :(

thay also measure them un mounted... a 5000lb truck compresses a tire pretty good. If your sticking a tape measure next to your tire.. that isnt going to be accurate.

Tire companys webpages list the wheel width that should be used with a particular size tire.....usually if multiples are shown, the bold print is the one they used to show you measurements such as tire height and tread width.

For Example... BFG lists the 35x12.50r15 tires on a 10" rim, measures 34.8" tall and 12.50" tread width on a 10" rim..

At least thats how I understand it.

And I think they normally add near the bottem in fine print, that all measurments are taken when the tire is at 35 psi.

my semi worn 35s MTRs are like 33.5 it sucks ill be happy rolling on 37s or 38s soon

My 33x12.5x15 BFG AT's on a 10" wide wheel measures like 31.5" tall, not too many miles on them either.

i have a feeling im going to want to be putting 35s on soon after my 33s haha. i just lifted my truck again on the weekend (AAL and t-bar crank) and my 32s look just as bad now as my stock 235s did with a BL.

My 35x12.50R15 Goodyear MT/R's are bald and filled with 35psi....they measure 33" on 10" rims. lol.
