Yep, def. 10.5 (265 series in car sizes) is the widest you should run. That 7-spoke steelie is a 15x7" rim. Oddly, although not very apparent to the average observer, the "chrome" version of that wheel just has a well-made chromed cover over a stock steel wheel! Its not one you can remove easily, however. My dad has a factory oddball, an Off-Road 1998 Ranger with the 3-spoke chrome wheels that were standard on an Explorer Sport at that time (the 16" teardrops it should have came with were out of stock at the time his was built, early in the year, so Ford substituted on the assembly line.) His wheels also turned out to be a chrome cover over a steel wheel, as he found out when he got deep-stuck in some coal-silt mud (slurry, we called it at the last Centralia meet) and spent countless hours trying to get the gunk out from between the wheels and the chromie covers. The covers are at least semi-permanently attached to the wheels, because despite dismounting a wheel and trying, he couldn't find a way to seperate the cover that he didn't fear would damage it.

You're running a 31x10.5 on an 8" wide wheel, but recommend 32x11.5 for a 7" wide wheel? While I'm sure someone with enough dedication could get the bead to seat, it would by no means be the right size to run on that wheel. a 32x10.5 I could go for.
