Widest Tires to fit on a 2wd?

Its a 96 XLT, i feel stupid for leaving that out but i was in a hurry when i posted this question, sorry. They will be going on 15 inch rims.

EDIT: As for whether 275/60r15's will fit, of course.. they're only 28" tall tires. My buddy had 30's before he lifted his 96 2wd xlt and they fit fine.

Nice, i think this is what i will be putting on when my avenger gt's die, black "D" window wheels and 275-60R15's...Thanks
