14" Rim tire options
Well ive been calling a few tire places, and well there isnt much for selection of tires in a 14" size rim. The rims on the truck now are stock and look decent. But i really think eventually id like to go to a 15" rim. But anywho I was thinking on either going with a sporty street truck, or have it somewhat look more aggressive with a BFG A/t KO's. If i went with the street truck look id want like a 12.50" wide tire on a nice set of rims. But if i could, id go with a 30x9.50x15 (or 14??) BFG a/t tire. So im not quite sure which direction i would like to go in. Its a 2wd, so i wont be offroading it, but i do live in New England so the weather can be bad at times, especially winter. Ill try to get a picture sometime this week or next. I need to forward the plates and sticker it and all that jazz. But as of right now it has 225/70/14's. What you guys think? Being its 2wd?

Sure thing......
You describe my rims to a T. Just go to your local tire shop and see what they got. Tons of manufacturers make these style steelies....U.S. Wheel, American Racing, Cragar, Pro Comp Xtreme steel just to name a few. I know the Xtreme Steel ones have no stripe, american racing has a blue & red stripe, I believe mine are US wheel.

Yeah i think thats the one my local auto store has. 50 bucks a piece. They also have these chrome ones that look like the mickey thompson classic II's for 68 a piece. But i like those rims. If i get some cash saved up i want to get those and perhaps 30x9.50x15' BFG a/ts. Doubt i could get 31's on there being its a 2wd but 30's would be cool too.

Just an update buy im getting just stock sized tires for better gas mileage, but im getting Uniroyals Liberator A/t's tommorow. They look nice, and i wont have to give up much power, gas mileage or money. Anyone have these tires?? They seem to look like one of the BFG tires. They have 50,000 mile rating for them i believe.

i wouldn't run anything over 35psi on a ranger.
go by what the door sticker says for stock size tires, you should never go by what the side of the tire says.
fell free to call your local tire shop and ask them about it.
i ran 30psi in my 31" bfg at's and they were fine, i also run 30psi in my 32's.

not going to save it, your an idiot and you are putting your life and more important other drivers life's in danger.
there not designed to run at those pressures and neither is your truck designed to run those pressures!
your not gaining anything buy doing this. your tires are running hotter then there designed to and are wearing faster then they should.

Ok then... lol i def. missed something, but anyways got the tires today and i have to say the tread looks very nice. I got the 225/70/14 Uniroyal Liberator A/t's. They seem like they are a very good all terrain tire. Anyone have these tires before? Far as i know uniroyal is a very good tire brand.
