WTS Mustang Bullit Rims

I'd like to see some pictures of Rangers with the Mustang Bullits on them. If you are running 17's or 18's, what wheel mod spacing you had to run, if any.

Thanks.

Want to see... I love that color. You still have it?

Are those 17 x 8, and what tires are you running? 245/45/17? Did you have to run any spacers?

Thanks for your response

devreaux 04-16-2007 06:32 PM

Mark - Nice! That's what I'm going to do, only in the chrome. I might go with the 255/50 instead of the 255/45. Then I'll evaluate whether to drop or not. I would like to have the rear end settle just a little.

Did you also remove your flaps, or was it like that? Also, where are your exhaust tips?

no i sold it such a stupid idea i wish i would have kept it now...

there STOCK mustang 17x8 with STOCK tires 245x45x17

was running a 5/16 spacer up front to clear the hub.

i would recommend the aftermarket 17x9 with a 4/5 drop....

and remove the mud flaps and the grandpa door steps...

Why the 17 X 9? What's the benefit vs. the 17 X 8? Wouldn't that require a larger spacer?

I don't see myself going lower than 2/3. My "grandpa" hips and knees are still flexible enough to traverse the distance. Turned 45 this past Saturday, nice of you to notice! Back in my day, those door steps were in style...

Ryan (Taknotes)

How do you like the 255/50 fusions? Those are the exact tires I'm considering.

Looks nice on your truck. Is that a flareside XLT?

I'm going to take some pictures of my truck with the new heads, corners, tails, and 3rd brake light this weekend. I don't want black rims, but looking at Mark's above the anthracite might be a good choice also. Aargh! Too many choices.

2/3? 4/5 is so much hotter looking and youll want to go lower eventually.

If you went 4/5 you would be alot cooler 45 year old...

How do you know I'm not already cool enough?

I've got a son about your age, but he was never bitten by the Ranger bug. He drives a pretty nicely restored 85 Ramcharger.

My truck is a Splash and I think starts out at least an inch lower than the XLT you drive. 2/3 will be plenty...

RoyLPita 04-18-2007 04:37 AM

I have a set of those. Thanx for the tip on the front spacer.

taknotes 04-18-2007 05:22 AM

i love the fuzions, look awesome, drive good, stick good, pretty good in the rain too imo...snow and ice, not so good lol, dont ask me how i know

I still want to see a pic of that splash that shows it is clearly orange!!!! lol If it was sure nuff orange, I dont see how your camera could think its red in every picture.......theres not even a hint of orange, except for the one where the sun hits about a 3" spot on the tailgate. lol

Correction 93-97 splashes are 1 inch lowered from the factory wioth smaller coils up front and lowered leafs in the back. In 98 they did not ocme lowered and have the same suspension as regular xlt coil sprung rangers hence they sat at the same height only difference between your truck and xlts is colored bumpers and flareside bed which you could even get on the xlt's.

And as for the "xlt I drive" My truck is dropped 5/6 with DJM Upper and lower control arms and 3 inch belltechs up front for a total of 5.5 inches dropped up front and out back flipkit and flipped hangers for a 7 inch drop out back. So my truck is still lower 5/7 than the splash you drive lol

Mark- I didn't mean to step on your toes and offend. If I came across as an a**, I apologize. I stand corrected. I don't do all the research that is done by many on this board. That is why I come to this board to learn from the best, what works, what looks nice, etc.

IMO, I like the look of the 2/3 drop better, and plan on doing this in the future. It is only my opinion and not fact. You have done some marvelous work to your truck, and I can appreciate it. Thanks for your suggestions on my truck. Everyone's opinions help me better flesh out what I want to do wtihout jumping to the first thing I think of or read.

Peace.

Redneckstone 04-20-2007 11:54 AM

as much as i loved how mine was lowered i agree i would have gone beams and flip kit soon if i didnt sell it...

Mark98xlt 04-20-2007 12:11 PM

Its a disease once you lower it, you just want to go lower and lower.

Unless you just dont have the money to spend on control arms or whatever...
