MPG question

How many miles are you guys getting out of the 17 gallon tank? I've got 130 half / half highway/city miles on the clock and I'm just below 3/4 a tank, is this normal / above average / bad?

I don't know what I get now since my odometer is screwed up and with bigger tires. I did previously though on my 2.5L get to at least 300 miles on my 16.5 gallon tank and then usually fill up. I like to make sure that I have a little extra gas in there. I have gone further though than 300. Most I have ever gone on it was like 330 and the check gauge light still had not come on yet.

130 for about 5 gallons is 26MPG which is really good. :) that just a guess though, to get an accurate MPG number fill ur truck up and divide the gallons it took to fill by the miles on your trip. anything from 22-26 is really good for mixed driving.

I get about 300 on a tank. Think it averages out to 20 or so mpg.

My rule of thumb when my 2.3L was stock was 60 miles for every quarter of a tank was doing good. So on average I got:

Stock: 240
Lifted: 220
Lowered: 300

Till E. Not till I ran out of gas, there is a reserve, like 3 gallons I think.

I usually figure 100 miles for each 1/4 tank. So with summer gas, I get 400-430 miles, and in winter 370-390 miles. I fill up at around 14.5 gallons every time, so that calculates out to 28.5 mpg summer and 26.25mpg winter, with mixed driving. Best ever I've gotten was all highway on my way to Lawton OK, 31.9mpg. But some say I'm the exception, not the norm.

Im mostly a city driver. If not, then Im on 360 sitting in traffic. Sometimes I wish I had a standard, but then the traffic starts and I like my automatic again!

i think part of the problem is that its overcooling my buddy said i might have a coolant temp sensor out and the thermostat i think went bad so i'm gonna do both of those and a new fuel filter and plugs and go from there because its all stuff i was gonna do anyway so well see how it goes.

Last time I filled up I was getting 22mpg. But then again half of that was using spark plugs and wires that were 13 years old, They definitely didn't look to gapped right.

From a fillup I usually get about 90 miles by 3/4 tank.. Don't know the exact miles ona tank offhand but I get usually around 20MPG, less if I run the A/C(like 18). My commute includes hills and a heavy foot, so that combined with lift and wheels/tires doesnt help.
