coolant temp. sensor

Can anyone tell me wher the coolant temp sensor is. Autozone website says it's in the intake under the intake opening. I can't find it. My truck runs rich and I want to change it to see if it's the fix. I've already changed the O2 sensor. It runs rough when cold. When it warms up it's no so bad but only runs smooth if it's floored. After it reaches a certain rpm it smooths out. Could it be the throttle position sensor. I checked it with an ohm meter and it was smooth.

Thanks

Try pulling the vacuum line off the fuel pressure regulator, and check for raw gas.

there are 2 coolant sensors. one for the computer and one for the gague (at least on my 95 it is that way). the sensor for the gague is on the drivers side of the motor under the intake manifold, towards the back of the block. it has one wire connected to it. i had to get to mine from under the truck, not from under the hood. its a real pain to get to, and be careful when u pull it out cause if you don't drain your coolant you will get coolant in your face for sure. however i don't think by replacing it will make the truck run more lean. the sensor for the computer is under the hood between your upper radiator hose and the coil packs.

if the temp sensor was bad i would think you might get a high idle.. does it have a MAF? sounds like a MAF problem....
did you re-set the computer?
