I need help! I got a 99 Ford Ranger xlt 3.0 and I have this issue thats bugging me.

Every time I fill up my truck it turns into a huge hassle. Its not supposed to be like that.

When I put the gas nozzle in the tank and hold the handle down it starts pumping gas but stops right away. It stops like my tank is full but no where is it close. This happens like 30 times throughout trying to fill my tank. Its so frustrating because I need to hold the handle down so perfectly and any little sensitive movement it stops pumping.

I always want a full tank, especially when its cheap. Well I know that I need to be in a certain range to get a full tank but sometimes it stops to early and I just dont know to keep pumping or not.

Someone please help im lost on this one

Thanks,
Greg

mine does that too but I just stick my gas cap under the nozzle to hold it up and that seems to work.
