????? 2008 ranger engine
If you dont have something like a Scanguage to read the codes through the OBD, go to the dealership (youre under warranty still!!!)
I would recommend getting a scanguage, theyre around $160 or so and show you all sorts of info about the truck.

Just take it to the dealer and tell them to fix it.
If they keep it over night tell them to give you a rental car (they have to)
If it was out of warrenty then you could worry and have to figure out what it is, but ince its brand new, just take it in.

without putting a scan tool onto your truck, we cannot help you with your problem, becuse it can be many many many different things.
get to the dealer. you bought a new truck. free fixin'!!

You better let the dealer do the scanning because with todays vehicles they'll probably know wether or not you used a scanner, since there's so many cpu's in there. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a cpu in there that tales wether or not you used a scanner. Plus since it's brand new it shouldn't cost you a thing at all. Cash in on that warranty man take advantage of it.

??????? I don't understand this at all. Are you implying that reading a trouble code on your own would void a warranty?
There is no way to tell lol. Only if it was reprogrammed, but its easy to flash to stock and it'd be no different on the IDS than if you had disconnected the battery.
When you pick up your truck from the dealer you will receive the tech story which will state what was wrong, and what he did. Very simple!

take it to the dealer becuse if it happens again before and outside of the warranty youll most likely be entitled to getting it fixed for free. and its recorded in the ford database and if theres like a recall youll be notified faster by your dealer. screw it you dont have to pay for let ford pay for it. lol
