Error code for CMP or Crank shaft position sensor
Hey everyone,
New to this site and I hope this is the right forum for my question.
Have a 2002 Edge 3.0 v6 with a little over 195,000 miles. Engine light is on and had it scanned. Unfortunately I can not remember the code but it refers to either the Camshaft position sensor "OR" the crankshaft position sensor. I have replaced both and I am still getting the same code. Does anyone have an idea what the problem may be?

Well you first need to get the exact code.
Also, are there any symptoms of a problem or is just the CEL(check engine light) on?
It won't be Crank position(CKP) sensor or engine would not start, CKP sensor is about the only sensor that can cause a no start/no run.
You can buy a Bluetooth OBDII device that plugs into ANY car or truck made after 1994, for under $40, so less than the price of a sensor in most cases.
You can read codes or live data on your smartphone via Bluetooth.
You can watch data live from any sensor while driving, very handy device, and as said works on ANY car or truck from 1995 and up so not just a Ford or Ranger tool

Can't recommend one over another.
Look at reviews and Videos of what each can do.
It also depends on if your smartphone is android or apple(iOS)
And check the software(app) prices for each device, OBDII device maybe $10 but APP is $40
And if you change phones..........another $40
Better to spend $35 on device and get APP for free or $5
Local auto parts stores also carry them
