Duratec 60mm Throttle Body Identification
I (understandably) only see old threads regarding this subject.
Can anyone direct me to a How-To on doing the Duratec 3.0L throttle body swap?
First, is there a part number that identifies the Duratec Throttle body? Any identifying features that distinguish it? I know the one I have pictured is from a 2002 Escape with a 3.0 L.
I don’t know from looking up the vin if it’s a Duratec.
Any fitment issues? If I have the right one, it does look like it bolts right up.
Just for the fun of it, I’m working with a tuner to see what combination of things we can do to bring the torque curve down into lower, more useable rpm range. Hope to gain a few HP but torque is what I’m really after.
I have access to a dyno so I’m going to track the changes with the output, as well as track my cost along the way.
I will produce a report at the end of it all so we can put numbers behind any changes.
Thanks for any help/guidance you can give,
Kirk
