ac question
Hi guys, I am new to this site and would appreciate any help. I have a Ranger Edge 2004 3.0 (4x2). My problem is that when I turn the AC on it takes about 3-5 minutes before the compressor kicks in. Any ideas what it could be? It used to kick on when you turned the AC on, now theres a long delay.

It could just be corroded relay connection.
Open engine bay Fuse/Relay box
Look for A/C relays on legend, remove each and check its connectors, then reinsert.
If there is no legend then just remove every relay and put it back one at a time.
Simply removing and reinserting can fix the problem.
Other issue could be low pressure switch on the "freon" line, but long shot.
