E-Fan on...just a quick Q

I picked up an e-fan from Oreilly after work today and decided to slap it in. It took about 10 minutes to get the mechanical fan off with a ratchet and wrench and about 30 to get the fan fully installed. I have a quick question though.

A 12V switched source is required for the brass switch or whatever it is. Where would be the best place to find that in the engine bay? I kinda sandwiched it in the IAC connector on the red wire, but wasn't sure if it was what I was looking for.

I decided to test the waters so to speak and drive it around the neighborhood to see if the fan kicked on by itself. It never seemed to, but never seemed to overheat either. With the A/C on the fan is on and engine temp remained where it was without the fan. Granted it's not the usual 100 degree day today, but I did find it quite odd that even idling in the driveway that it didn't overheat.

I do like the increased pep and smoothness the truck has now without the fan. I should have done this sooner!!

Use the search button at the top of the pane for e fan.
Look at the posts from about 2 years ago. They are full of info for where to connect them.
It was kind of a fad back then until they rather fell out of favor.
