IMO do all the lifting you want first, then have pipes made. because kits look bad on a body lifted truck.
Doesn't look my lift is gonna happen anytime soon.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone! Its much appreciated. I'll post up vid or sound clip when its done.

I had a dual catback made with the two tips coming out the sides behind the wheels. All they did was the piping since I had my own muffler, 140$

But a body lift doesn't lift the engine so the headers stay put, so the cats stay put.

I was expecting something like my stang has but dummy me....you're not getting that sound outta 4.0. Anyway, hopefully I'll get some clips up tomorrow.

I have Gibson Dual system. It was the one i wanted but could not get it in a Reg cab size so i had it brought into a shop and they modified the pipe from the cats to the muffler (head pipe i think its called?) and had them weld in the rest of the system properly instead of clamping it together. It cost me 500 for the kit and almost 300 for the modification and install (canadian dollars) but it turned out really nice and i am happy with the end result. But since you have a ext. cab you can buy the kit and clamp it in yourself in about an hour or two get it done for much cheaper.

They had some issue with the spare tire being in the way but the guy was able to mod the pipe to fit with the spare underneath.

That and the hitch was my problem. I had do ditch the hitch and get a doughnut for a spare. I wish I modded my pipes

The muff has to sideways to fit, its like that on every truck. I would have put the pipes a little higher but thats just me. Sounds good though!

The tail pipes? They told me I need to watch the hangers whenever the truck goes up on a lift too.

I would be afraid I would catch the bottom edge of that muffler and either get caught on it or break something.

Well if and when I decide to do some off roading "futuristically speaking", we'll have to rig something else. Don't know how bad it would be though with a lift (which btw my husband is looking into but need to save up some funds...suspension lift...WOOT!)

the prob i ran into when i went to get mine raised were the leaf springs were in the way to raise anything close to where i wanted.. that usually looks like the problem
