oil

the last couple of days, after i stop at a red light, the oil pressure gauge goes nuts unless i keep the rpm's up. it also does it when the vehicle is idling in gear but as soon as i put it in park or neutral, it stays normal. if anyone has any ideas or solutions would be greatly appricated. thanks for your time.

First check the oil.

It could be a bad oil pressure sender.

or high mileage on the motor and once the engine warms up the gaps in the bearings and rings or whatnot open up some the the viscosity of the oil isn't enough to cover the gap, so you could potentially have a loss in oil pressure.
At least thats what i keep telling myself with mine

i have replaced the sending unit about 20,000 miles ago. it seems only to do it if i come to a stop from a high rate of speed.
