belt tensioner question

If she's noisy..you really need to change it. If it's noisy, the bearing is going byebye....and when it actually goes byebye....seized pulley, and torn up belt is sure to happen.
I know this, because I was broke down on the way to work a few months back....it tore up my 2 day old gatorback! Nothing like being 6hrs late to work...and breaking down at 4am.
CHANGE IT~!!! It's a $40 Motorcraft part, and 1 bolt....do it.

You take off the belt, unbolt it.. insert the new part in, line up the prong with the hole, pop a good 30-40lbs torque on it (Cant remember the exact torque ratio) and its done.. good as gold =) If I had to time it, Im sure I ocould do it in right around 10 minutes.. including taking the belt off and putting it back on.

use a socket rench on the tensioner to take the belt off.. then once the belt is off, take off the pully and then put the new one on... then put the socket rench back on the tensioner take the tension all the way down then slide the belt back over and slowly let the tension back onto the belt... 10 min process maybe less...
