New Generation of V8 Swappers
To me it seems like a lot of people with newer edges and rangers are looking into doing a V8 swap. Most likly that would be an explorer 303 swap from yrs 98-01. There is still not a lot of information on how to do this on the internet and I think this would be a good site to get going to be "the place to go" for newer ranger v8 swaps. Well that being said whos all planning this in our 98+ rangers?
I am doing the explorer 302 swap and AWD swap this summer. Looking for a wrecked explorer at the moment.

I am really not aware of how emission testing really works anywhere else. All I know is that in Florida you do not ever have to have your vehicle tested or anything. So maybe newer ranger v8 swaps will be limited to people who are in a state where no testing can take place. I think a good sticky to get started in this forum would be where there is testing and where there is not, and ways to get around it.
Pinecone yes I can, no testing in my state. ^^

Once again I believe this is a good place to start. We need to find information on the laws and if there is testing or not. Then we can distinguish who can do what

Clark County only has a problem if you go in for a smog check and you have a check engine light on basically. You have to swap out the computer with the motor and it will pass emitions. If you leave clark county, go to nye county, Lincoln, whitepine, or down to lauphlin and stuff you can pretty much do what ever you want.

As to I/Ms? **** that, in Juneau we don't have I/M. Since we're small and in all the trees, there is 0 pollution. So when I go up north I don't need I/M. I would since I'm at college, but I didn't get to bring it. Thanks for your info though.
