Icon3 Wanting to put a efi 5.0 in my 94' ext. cab ranger.

Hello everyone im new here and was wondering if I could get some help. I have a 94' ext. cab ranger with a 2.3 5speed and have a wrecked 5.0 5speed 95' GT mustang. Im wanting to put the mustang stuff in my truck and keep it fuel injected but I need help or hints. I've been reading up on how to put this stuff in and I just dont really know what to do. Some say if I have a donor car it will be a breeze but I dont know. If anybody knows where to go or knows their self how to do this could you help me? Some of my main questions is, is there any books or manuals on how to wire it up, will I need to change fuel pumps, will I need to relocate my oil filter, would the clutch cables work or what do I need, will I need to change my coil springs for the weight change, will the transmission go where the other one is, and could you tell me where to get the best deals at (LOL)? Thanks for your time and hope to get help soon.

yeah you will have to buy new mounts for the trans and motor and prolly get a new pump as well as prolly get new springs. you dont have to get the springs prolly but i would because of the weight. i dont know to much about the swap but it will require a bit of work to change out that motor. i wanted to put a 5.0 in but an sohc is a bit easier, so i went with that motor instead. the wiring will also be different.

You should upgrade your fuel pump, they can be bought for around 80 dollars and swapped out on the fuel pump assembly. You need to relocate the oil filter because it interferes with the power steering gear box. The clutch cables will not work and I do NOT suggest trying to retro fit, there is a right up on this site that is great on how to use the stock master cylinder with a import slave cylinder with a stock 5.0 bellhousing. It is a great setup for very low dollar. You do not have to change out your coil springs, and where else would the trans go.... the trans mount does not line up directly with the stock cross member but it is close enough to reuse. You will also need a dual sump oil pan. As for the front accessories you do not have to swap over to explorer front dress, it is much stouter but not mandatory (I run the mustang front dress on my truck). Most of the parts can be purchased used from various vehicles or check out summit racing. Some of the other items to start looking for are swap motor mounts and headers.
