Im over at my buddies place and were both baffled why his rig wont start.

Problem: when she turns over it clicks once from the starter. Btw, battery is fully charged. Been checking connections and what not, still nothing. No codes from the reader either. Even tried tapping the starter with a hammer. Ideas? Thanks guys

The click from the starter is the solenoid engaging, so you're good there. This narrows it down to two things, either its not getting enough power through the main cable to turn over, or the starter is locked up. If you've already checked connections, I'd have the starter tested.

If you want to test the starter yourself, you can use a jumper cable to connect the battery to the starter terminal. WARNING: its really easy to short the jumpers to something.

can't tap these later model ford starters, they have PGR's in them, permenate magnet gear reducted, insted of having field coils it has 2 large magnets that break as easy as glass, you most likely need a starter now
