Hey Everyone!
So I'm glad to say that after a few months I've finally pieced together a great sounding system in my ranger. I used 4 different brands and they all work great together.

My head unit is an old Alpine CDA-9807 from way back in 2003. I purchased the extra harness so I could run an aux cable into it and also bought a remote for ***** and giggles

My door speakers are Pioneer 6x8 3-way speakers (TS-A6874R) that run at 40 watts RMS but I don't have them hooked up to an amp, I didn't feel the need.

Then I purchased a Rockford Fosgate Prime 500 watt mono amp (R500X1D), new for 2013, that to my surprise came with a birth sheet stating it actually put out 637 watts. I was torn between this an a 500 watt Alpine amp but choose this because it has a bass remote so I could control the volume of my sub.

Now for my sub, I bought an Infinity Reference 12 inch, dual 4 ohm voice coil subwoofer (1262w) that is 300 watts rms and 1200 peak. I wired the dual voice coils to 2ohms and paired with my amp it sounds smooth and hits extremely hard for a single 12"

The box I purchased is a Scosche 12 inch, grey carpeted box (SE12CC) off amazon. The box has mixed reviews but I am very impressed especially because it came pre-stuffed with polyfil. After reading some reviews I was sure to remove the speaker sire terminal and seal it with some silicone to prevent leaks that people said occured and also stapled in the polyfil a little bit more.

Finally I purchases a KnuKoncepts 4 Guage amp kit. The wires are truly 4 gauge and I even had to trim them a little to fit the amp. The kit comes with everything you need and it was all the perfect length to run in a Ranger. I would recommend spending a little more money to buy their higher end 4 guage kit but I was on a budget so I didn't

Some notes:
The amplifier fits perfectly under the driver or passenger seat! I mounted 1inch rubber grommets under the front of the amp to give it better air flow and just screwed 2 screws to the floor so its not going anywhere. All the cables were run under the carpet and hidden away.

Even though I have a extended cab, the box was a little to big to face the subwoofer towards the seat. And since I wanted it on the drivers side I was too cramped. So I decided to turn the box around. It is now facing the jumper seat and the box has a perfect slant for the seat back.

The power and bass remote cables were run on the drivers side

The speaker wires were run under the carpet right under the jumper seats, I did put a cable on the drivers side, and passenger side so that way if I decided to move the subwoofer it could be connected on both sides

The RCA cables came with a remote turn on wire between them but being that it was so wimpy I ran a bigger guage remote run on. These were also run under the jumper seats and down the passenger side to keep from interference.

One thing I HIGHLY recommend doing is cutting the ground cable behind the radio in the harness and grounding it behind the radio. I had a problem with the radio shutting off and that was the problem. BE SURE when grounding for the amp too that you grind down the surfaces to shiny bare metal.

My favorite part of the whole install was mounting a racing toggle switch on the remote turn on wire so I could manually turn the amp on and off whenever I wanted

All in all I love this system and it sounds great! I was on a BIG budget and the subwoofer install that I did today cost 300 bucks (Sub, Amp, Box, Install kit) and the door speakers were 100 bucks for all 4. Miscellaneous cables and **** came out to about 70 bucks so all in all it was a 500 dollar system!

If you shop around you can always find some great deals

OH and I got the head unit for free

5th is the toggle switch, bass remote, and aux cable that I tucked away into the little compartment above the cup holders. The toggle switch has a blue led that is always on unless head unit is off, and when turned on a blue led comes on, on the bass remote too
