connecting amp wire to battery?

Hello everyone. I've got a simple and probably dumb question but anyways I'm hoping to install my new amp wire for my pioneer sub amp tomorrow. I released that I have no idea how to hook it up to the battery as the positive terminal on my battery has this plastic connector over it(I'm guessing is ranger specific).

I have a 4 gage wire with a ring terminal on the end of it like so:

Does anyone know if there a way to hook the ring terminal onto the battery with the plastic connector still on there?

Thanks :)

if you need to, just get some of the spray on protectant.. then you dont need to worry about that plastic cover. its mostly just to protect anythign from cross-connecting at the source.. and for weathering purposes

The bolt that bolds the battery clamp together has two winged tabs to prevent the bolt from coming all the way out. Use pliers and bend those out so you can loosen the bolt and pull out enough to get your ring terminal in the middle of the battery clamp. I have a few ring terminals under there now and it is about maxed out for my liking. I will be getting an extra fuse fuse/distribution block for electrical accessories smaller than the amp. I hope that makes sense.
